Highway 43 Towing Scholarship

The Highway 43 Towing Scholarship was established in 2021 to help students from the Whitecourt and Mayerthorpe areas pursue an education in the trades or related occupations, specifically heavy-duty mechanics, welding, trucking, and other similar fields. The scholarship provides financial assistance to students who demonstrate financial need, academic excellence and a passion for their chosen field of study.

This award recognizes the importance of skilled trades in the local economy and is committed to supporting students in these fields. By providing financial assistance to deserving students, the scholarship helps to ensure that the next generation of skilled workers is well-prepared to meet the demands of the workforce.

Who is Eligible?

The scholarship is open to all students in the Whitecourt and Mayerthorpe areas who are enrolled in or planning to enroll in an accredited program in the trades or related occupations. Applicants must be pursuing a degree or certification in fields such as heavy-duty mechanics, welding, trucking, or other similar areas.
